On Tuesday, July 14, I spent my regular day off cheering for the Saitama Seibu Lions at Belluna Dome.
Before the game, I took a little detour to ride the brand-new LEO LINER, which debuted this March. As a railway fan, I absolutely loved this cute little train! 🚝
The Lions got on the board first with a towering home run by Tyler Nevin in the 2nd inning. In the 5th, Seiya Watanabe added another run with a sacrifice fly.
On the mound, Kaima Taira delivered another outstanding performance, and the bullpen—Hibiki Shinohara, Trey Wingenter, and Hiroshi Kaino—sealed a 2–1 victory! 🎉
A special shout-out to Trey Wingenter, who set a new club record with 11 consecutive holds and is still carrying an incredible 0.00 ERA this season. His blazing fastball and devastating slider are almost impossible to hit! 🔥
And here’s my favorite statistic…
I honestly can’t remember the last time the Lions lost a game when I was at Belluna Dome! 😄🦁

7/14（火）埼玉西武ライオンズと千葉ロッテマリーンズの試合、@ベルーナドーム
毎シーズン恒例の火曜日の休診日を使ってのライオンズ応援。
時間があったので遠回りして3月に新車両がデビューしたばかりの”LEO LINER”に乗りました。
乗り鉄の心をキュンキュンさせる可愛い車両でした。
さて、試合はライオンズの先発が平良投手、今シーズン絶好調。
２回裏にネビン選手がレフトスタンドへ打った瞬間に分かるホームランでライオンズが先制。
5回裏には渡部選手のセンターへの犠牲フライで追加点。
守っては平良ー篠原ーウインゲンターー甲斐野の勝ちパの必勝リレーで2-1で勝利しました。
ウインゲンター投手は１１試合連続ホールドの球団新記録。
あの剛速球とスライダーを打つのは困難ですね。今シーズン防御率0.00を継続中！
西武ドームへ観戦に行ってライオンズが負けた記憶がありません♪
